Eyewear Purpose

VETROSAFE eyewear are special purpose safety eyewear for lampworking (also called lampwork, flameworking and torchworking). The eyewear are suitable for use with soft (soda-lime) and hard (borosilicate) glass, and can also be used for glass blowing, kiln work, torch soldering and torch brazing. The lenses meet or exceed ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2020 standards for Welding Shade #3 filtering of UV, Visible and IR light and also provide HEV blue-light blocking to 420nm and 589nm sodium flare blocking.

VETROSAFE eyewear are not intended to diagnose or treat any disease or medical condition.

Markings

The left lens is laser marked with “VETROSAFE” for brand identification. The right lens is laser marked in accordance with ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2020:

Care and Handling

For maximum optical performance, VETROSAFE lenses are anti-reflection coated and include a hydrophobic & oleophobic coating on the front and back surfaces. To remove dust and smudges from routine use, VETROSAFE eyewear may be cleaned using an optical-grade cleaning spray and the included microfiber cloth. The glasses may also be hand washed with mild dish soap and warm water, then dried and polished with the microfiber cleaning cloth. Do not attempt to clean eyewear with solvents such as rubbing alcohol. Do not wipe the frame or lenses with abrasive materials such as paper towels or clothing. Do not store the glasses in direct sunlight, or in extreme heat such as on a car dashboard. For maximum lifespan, always store the eyewear inside the included case.

Caution

To maintain full coverage eye protection, do not remove eyewear side shield protectors. VETROSAFE eyewear are not suitable for use while driving.
